Dog Parks: Menlo Park's Off-Leash Dog Parks
Menlo Park has two fenced, off-leash areas:
Nealon Park
800 Middle Ave. Behind the tennis courts.
(Monday-Friday, 8am-10am only)

Willow Oaks Park
490 Gilbert Ave.

(7 Days a Week, 7am-9am & 4pm-Dusk)

The City of Menlo Park uses Palo Alto's Creek Monitoring link to measure rainfall. If totalrainfall is 1/2 inch or more within 24 hours, then this triggers the fields close. Current laws and regulations pertaining to off-leash areas are posted at the Menlo Park Community Services Department area of the city's website.
As of December 15, 2005, Menlo Park City codes specified the following regulations:

All dogs MUST be on leash entering and exiting the fenced area.

Dog owners or handlers must have a leash in hand at all times.

All dogs must remain within the fenced area when off leash.

Owners must be in control of their dogs at all times.

Dogs with known history of dangerous behavior are not allowed.

Cleaning up after your dog is MANDATORY!

Dogs must have current licenses and vaccinations; licenses must be on the dog's collar; collar must be on the dog.

No more than three dogs per owner/handler.

Children under the age of 14 must be closely supervised by an adult.

Consumption of food and the use of glass containers are not allowed in the off-leash area.

Dogs in heat are not allowed.

No puppies less than 4 months of age are allowed.

Owners must provide their own drinking bowls.

Leaving dogs unsupervised is prohibited.

Training classes are not allowed.
